How much does personal training really cost?
Updated: Oct 6
The question of price is almost always the first one asked. And that’s a good thing. If you’re seriously considering working with a personal trainer, you’ll want to know what you’re getting into. Here’s an honest overview: how much personal training with me costs, what factors influence the price, and why the investment is worth it for many people.
Factors affecting the price
Not all personal training is the same. Three things make the difference: Qualifications and experience: A solid educational background, regular professional development and plenty of practical experience are a far cry from a weekend online course. A quality label such as Qualitop shows you that the trainer’s competence has been verified.
Private studio rather than a gym: In my private studio, you train one-to-one with me. No other members, no distractions, no waiting for equipment. Instead, peace and quiet, a view of the garden and your own parking space right outside the door.
Frequency and duration: A fixed package of two training sessions a week will get you further than one-off sessions that you only book now and then. You’ll stick with it, and the price per session goes down.

Does my health insurance cover my training?
Many people aren’t aware of this: I am Qualitop-certified and recognised by around twenty health insurance providers. If you have suitable supplementary insurance, your provider may contribute towards the costs. Basic insurance doesn’t cover any of the costs, and the amount of the contribution varies depending on the provider and the policy. It’s best to enquire directly, using my provider ID 193820. I’d be happy to help you with this.
Is it worth the investment?
I’ll be honest with you: personal training isn’t cheap. But you’re not paying for an hour; you’re paying for an approach that works. Many of my clients are working professionals, often over 40, and don’t have time for detours. They’ve already tried lots of things: gym memberships that went unused after a few weeks, diets, online programmes. What they were missing was a plan tailored to their bodies, and someone to guide them and keep them on track. Imagine having more strength, more energy in your day-to-day life and fewer aches and pains in just three months. You’ll know how to train, eat and recover, and you’ll feel comfortable in your own body again. That’s the real return on your investment.
